![]() Everyone's read or heard something about this historical meeting, but you probably haven't heard what Elvis did, while he was there. He told me this little story, when he came home. When you arrive at the White House, if you are carrying a gun, you have to leave it with the Secret Service. They will return it to you, when you leave. Elvis handed them his guns. He said, I have to use the restroom. Can you show me where it is? One of the agents said, he'd happy to show Elvis where it was. They walked down the hallway, and entered the restroom. Elvis excused himself, then walked to a stall. As Elvis was un-doing his belt, his derringer fell to the floor. The agent heard this, then walked into the stall, and picked the gun up. He asked Elvis, what's this Mr. Presley? Elvis gave him a smile, then said. I'm sorry, I forgot about that one. The agent smiled back at Elvis, then politely said. Okay Mr. Presley, I'll hand this to the other agents. But, I have to ask, is there anymore I need to know about. Elvis smiled, then said. No sir, that's all of them.

Elvis could charm anyone. Love this story. I can only imagine how excited he would get re-telling his stories from Washington DC. I was in DC last month and took some videos of the exact locations he was at. One time your brother Ricky was with him. Check them out on youtube just search "Elvis in Washington DC Pt 1" it should come up.
